Jump start a car:

Many of us might have faced a problem that car battery is dead and car is not ready to start. If we have spare battery then it is OK, but at remote place where even single auto garage is also not accessible, a person with dead car is night mare and nobody wants that it comes true. One may not have any choice if battery is dead. Either he may change the battery or charge the battery.

replacing a dead battery with new one may sounds good, only when you are at city area. so you are left with second option is charge the battery. at emergency situation a method is used to quickly charge your car's battery, and that method is "Jump Start"

for this method all you need is a jumper cable and a working car with charged battery and no doubt a dead car.

So start with first step:

Step 1: Position the cars

Position the cars

       Start with parking both the cars facing opposite to each other. Maintain some distance so you can pass through it.

Step 2: peep under the hood:

        Peep little bit under the hood and look for your car's battery. cheak the positive and negative terminals. usual red wire is for positive and black wire is used for negative terminal. Connect the red clamp of jumper cable to the positive terminal of battery on both terminals. 

        Now do next step care fully. Connect on of the black clamp on the negative terminal of working battery, and connect other black clamp to any metal part of dead car such as frame, Engine block.(you can connect any part of car where battery is earthed)

Step 3: Charging up battery

        Cheak for all the connections and start the engine of first car, keep that engine running for few minutes. it is advised that to run the engine for five min for better results.

Step 4: Try starting it up

        Now try once to start up your car's engine, if it starts then do not shut it down immediately, keep it running for a while so that battery will charge sufficiently.
